SuKarne's Environmental Commitment is to use innovative technologies in the production chain, to take care of non-renewable natural resources and through specific projects, to convert organic waste into clean energy; as well as by-products from industrial operations into sustainable value-added bioproducts that preserve natural conditions of water, soil and air.
We have performance plants that process meat and bone meal, blood meal and tallow, base by-products for other industries.
We process bovine hides, inputs for the automotive industry.
We transform feedlot raw material into organic fertilizer (compost and vermicompost), reducing the environmental impact of air, water and soil and reducing the use of chemical fertilizers in agricultural crops.
We treat 100 percent of our wastewater, we have biological treatment strategies which reduce organic matter, complying with regulatory parameters.
We reuse 50 percent of the treated water to irrigate roads and green areas.
We have photovoltaic cells on roofs of parking lots. We install solar water heaters in process areas.
We replace internal lighting of TIF plants with LED technology. We supply natural gas in boilers.
We implement an automated water sprinkling system in pens, programmed by irrigation times for each season of the year and associated with the most intense movements of livestock. We install systems to capture suspended particles in food plants.
We propagate vegetative barriers to avoid dust dispersion, reduce soil erosion, improve soil structure and moisture, and offset the effects of carbon dioxide.
We have metric indicators for water, energy, fuels and greenhouse gas emissions, which define our strategies to meet goals and understand our ecological footprint.
We compare ourselves with the Best Applied Technologies (BAT) worldwide.
We promote a culture of separation of recyclable materials in our collaborators (paper, plastic, cardboard, batteries, ink cartridges, metal).
We dispose of non-usable waste correctly through companies approved by the authority.
